EIGHT YEARS IN AFGHANISTAN
|The eight-year occupation of Afghanistan just became the longest “war” in U.S. history. Combined with the occupation of Iraq, we’ve now added $1 trillion to our national debt to accomplish absolutely nothing.
This week, Congress will decide whether to waste another $33 billion on these endless, unaffordable occupations. Tell your Representatives to vote NO:
At the same time, “deficit hawks” are secretly plotting deep cuts to Medicare and Social Security. They won’t release their plan until after the November election, but now is the time to tell them “hands off Medicare and Social Security.”
How? By joining a Brown Bag Vigil this week at a Congressional office near you.
