It’s hardball time!
The crooks that ran this country for the last eight years appear to want to do their worst in preventing our country from pulling itself out of this depression. They are giving the new President much difficulty in trying to get a package passed. They want to add the same kind of breaks for big business that got us into this predicament in the first place. President Obama must take action and go after these crooks for all their misdeeds, high crimes and treason that they did in the last eight years. These individuals must be made to realize that the American people have spoken and they should not be taken lightly. From the false flag operation of 911 to the privatization and raping of our infrastructure these criminals must be held accountable. Cheney is out there saying the American people aren’t smart enough to govern themselves so let’s not heed their mandate. Americans unite, don’t stand for it.
US Congresspeople Told Martial Law Would Be Imposed if Bailout Bill Didn’t Pass
The liars and crooks of the Bush Administration told certain Democrats and Republican House of Representatives that if they did not pass the Bailout bill they could face Martial Law being declared by the President! Unbelievable gall, the treachery and deceit of these people is beyond comprehension, I guess that is why so many of you are blinded by the truth. I hope you wake up before it’s too late.
On the edge of a long night

By Charlie Reese
Have you ever wondered how human beings can be so cruel? And how cruelty crosses all the boundaries — national, racial and ethnic? I have. Rereading an autobiography published in 1941 by a communist agent reminded me of the dark side of human nature.
The book, “Out of the Night,” was written -under the pseudonym “Jan Valtin” — by a German who lived through the chaos of the collapse of the Weimar Republic ~ and the rise of Nazism. Broken by Gestapo torture, he ended up being pursued by both the Nazi and the communist man hunters and killers. Murders by these two forms of socialism are measured in the millions during the 20th century. That alone should warn all people off any form of collectivism, because all of those millions, in the minds of their killers, were sacrificed “for the greater good.” They — flesh-and-blood individual human beings — were all murdered in the name of an abstraction, a stupid theory of how society should be organized. I doubt if the head thugs on both sides actually believed the theories. What they really believed in was power over their fellow man.
If you look at the French Revolution and the Bolshevik Revolution, the message is clear: Intellectuals and the common people can produce a blood bath. Latching on to some “ism” for justification, their greed for power and desire for revenge can run amok. Butchering women and children because they were born into the “wrong” class is surely insane.
In our time, when people are saying we must sacrifice liberty for security, that scrapping the Constitution is necessary to win the “war” against terrorism, I would suggest “that you take your choice of genocides in the past 100 years and remind yourself what happens when people buy into the false proposition that the end justifies the means. People who preach that are always more interested in the means than in any end.
The only safe environment for a human being is under a weak government with very restricted powers. Normal people don’t need much to be happy — food, shelter, dignity and freedom from marauders. They need a rule of law that applies to everyone equally and at all times and in all circumstances. In established societies, legislators should meet rarely—perhaps once every two or three years—because a continuing cascade of new laws will eventually drown freedom.
The Founding Fathers, whether through luck, wisdom or divine guidance, gave us an almost perfect form of government, and we’ve been busy ever since trying to take it apart. Human beings are .dangerous predators and cannot be trusted with power over their fellows. Many Americans have forgotten that the power of government comes out of the barrel of a gun. Governments coerce; they don’t persuade.
There are people living among us at this very moment capable of the cruelty so evident in the Holocaust All they are waiting for is the opportunity. No greater opportunity exists than when a government enlists such people and says whatever you do is now justified for the sake of the “greater good.”
Who would have guessed that George W Bush, who seemed to be a genial good old boy, would turn out to be a tyrant, launching wars of aggression, arresting and confining people without charges or access to a lawyer, condoning torture and lying to the American people? A government that can without trial destroy you by simply putting on a list your name or the name of an organization with which you are associated is a tyranny. A government that invades other countries and that feels free to murder people in any country it chooses is a tyranny.
Americans are on the edge of a long night. We had better wake up and step back before it’s too late.
More of the Same in 2008
This is a an opinion by Charley Reese in the Citrus County Chronicle, 12.8.2007, I am surprised that the Chronicle carries his opinions. The Chronicle is noteworthy in it’s bias against anyone who can think and look at evidence.
To borrow a wise-crack from an old friend, I don’t know who is going to win the presidency, but I know who’s going to lose – - the American people. Only Rep. Ron Paul recognizes the Constitution and the rule of law, and he has no chance at all. He has no chance because the majority of the American people have never read the Constitution and pay no attention to it. In case you haven’t noticed, contemporary political debate is all about plunder and patronage. Patriotism is being willing to bomb foreigners if they decline to do what the American emperor wants them to do — provided, of course, they are defenseless. The contest is all about who promises the most goodies by robbing Peter to provide them to Paul.
There is no intelligent discussion of foreign policy. There is no intelligent discussion about the economic problems that are harming the American people. There is no discussion, intelligent or dumb, about the systematic loss of civil liberty that has occurred under the Bush administration. There is no serious discussion about reforming the tax laws, which require thousands of pages of small print. There is no discussion about the erosion of American sovereignty.
These politicians are all word people, and their word is no good. You can’t even rely on them to keep the superficial promises they make. It’s obvious that not a one of these nabobs has any idea what he or she will actually do should he or she wind up in the White House, other than continuing to campaign and raise money for the next election. Talk about conservatism and liberalism is meaningless, because there are no conservative or liberal candidates, only opportunists. Again, the exception being Ron Paul. Conservatives who claim to be against gay marriage, abortion and driver’s licenses for illegal aliens only reveal how unconservative they are. A true conservative would recognize that those are state issues in which the federal government, including the federal courts, has no legitimate role at all. A true liberal would be raising holy hell about the loss of civil liberties and unconstitutional wars and giveaway programs.
You tell me what the philosophical differences are between Hillary Clinton and Rudy Giuliani. Both are politicians who managed to become millionaires. Mrs. Clinton claims to have executive experience solely on the basis of having shared the bed of Bill Clinton. There is, under the Constitution, no office of first lady The first lady is nothing but the wife of the president and has no authority whatsoever, she shouldn’t even have a staff or a budget.
Mr Giuliani, the self-promoting former mayor of New York City, simply promises to keep doing the unconstitutional things the current president is doing. Giuliani is neither a crime-fighter nor an expert on terrorism. As a prosecutor, he took evidence developed by the FBI and did what all prosecutors do. Prior to the attack on the twin towers, he had failed to make sure all the first responders could communicate and stupidly put the city’s emergency command post in the twin towers, against the advice of real experts. After the attacks, he walked up and down the street in front of TV cameras, made speeches and went to funerals. That’s neither expertise nor leadership.
After writing off Ron Paul as being too much like the Founding Fathers to get elected, the best of the sorry lot IS probably Mike Huckabee, who lost 100 pounds and plays the guitar, and Bill Richardson, who speaks Spanish and has actually had foreign-policy experience. The rest would be a disaster. But keep in mind, this election is not about change. It’s about more of the same.
